Homenews

Scotland gave Germany a proper test last night in Dortmund and their Watford winger Ikechi Anya was understandably excited about his goal.

Anya ran on to a glorious pass from Steven Fletcher like an Olympic sprinter and finished with considerable aplomb against someone who is regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world, Manuel Neuer. It was a magnificent goal and deserved a magnificent tweet. We are not sure if Anya will be in the team when Scotland face Ireland later on in the qualifying group, but if he is, we look forward to some Olympic-style sprint races between him and our very own speed merchant, Seamus Coleman.
