Gardaí appeal to man who made anonymous phone call in relation to serious sexual assault in Cork

Gardaí investigating a serious sexual assault in Cork have appealed to a man who made an anonymous phone call in relation to the incident to come forward.

On Monday, An Garda Síochána issued an updated appeal for information in relation to the incident, saying they are particularly interested in speaking to a man who made an anonymous phone call to Togher Garda Station on the morning of 24 August.

Investigations into a serious sexual assault of a female that occurred in the Connolly Rd/Vicars Rd area of Ballyphehane, Cork are ongoing, and Gardaí have renewed their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Gardaí are appealing for the man who made the phone call or anyone who may have information to contact Togher Garda Station on 021 494712 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
