‘Several dead’ and injured as car drives into a crowd in Germany

The driver is reported to have killed himself.

Several people are reportedly dead in Germany after a car ploughed into a crowd of pedestrians.

Up to 30 or more are believed to be injured following the incident in the western German city of Muenster.

It is unknown how many have been killed.

Police are urging members of the public to stay away from the area.

The city’s police force have said: “The scenario is such that an attack cannot be ruled out.”

“There are deaths and injured. Please avoid the area, we are on scene.”

They also asked to public to not speculate about the incident.

The Associated Press has reported that police say the driver of the car has killed himself.
