The new services kick in from March.

It’s January, so you can be forgiven for having one eye on your next holiday.

Shannon Airport announced on Monday that Norwegian Air International is to expand its services to Boston and New York this March.

The low-cost airline, which commenced operations at Shannon last July, will go from two to four flights a week on its service to Providence Green Airport, Rhode Island, one hour outside of Boston.

It will also add an extra route to Stewart International Airport in Orange County, 90 minutes from New York, increasing from two to three flights per week.

“These additional flights will give Irish passengers even more choice and are another important step in our plans for continued growth in Ireland,” said Norwegian Chief Commercial Officer Thomas Ramdahl.

Flights from Shannon to Providence Green Airport, Rhode Island will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while flights to Stewart International Airport, Orange County will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
