Denmark train crash

At least six people have died after material from a cargo train collided with a passenger train in Nyborg, Denmark.

Local media reports suggest that bad weather caused a tarpaulin cover to blow off a cargo train and in front of the passenger train, which forced the train to brake suddenly. Other reports suggest that an entire cargo container had blown onto the tracks.

134 people were reported to be aboard the train, including three crew. So far, six people are confirmed to have died in the incident.

Reports from TV2 in Denmark further suggest that 16 people have been injured in the incident.

The train had been en route from Odense to the Danish capital of Copenhagen. The incident occurred as it crossed the bridge from Zealand to Funen, which has since been forced to close.
