There must be Gremlins in the system…

JOE occasionally visits some other websites apart from our own, mostly during our extensive 3-minute lunch break, but it seemed that Facebook was having a few issues this afternoon.

Some visitors to the site were greeted with a message that read “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”

In our heads, this sparked a mad dash rush to the I.T department where the staff’s questions were answered by, “Have you tried turning it off and on again”.

A Facebook statement read, “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible,”.

In fairness they weren’t going to say, we have to go get a cup of coffee, reply to this tweet and then make plans with my mates… as much as we would have loved to read that.

Facebook has 1.32 billion monthly users but most of the people that had problems accessing the site were in the United States, Chile and India.

If you had any issues then let us know below.
