So one in 40 Dubs is a US dollar millionaire

Looks like there is lots of money floating around the capital.

JOE

Looks like there is lots of money floating around the capital.

Spear’s magazine have published a very interesting look at just how many minted folks there are in the world’s cities. With help from wealth consultancy company WealthInsight (nice gig) they counted where the most millionaires, in US dollars, there were in the world.

Top of the list, to nobody’s surprise, was Monaco, with a staggering 29.21 per cent of their population classed as millionaires. Second was another city associated with cash, Zurich, with 27 per cent, while Geneva was third with 17 per cent.

However, of most interest to us was the fact that Dublin was 13th on the list, with 2.4 per cent of the capital’s residents classed as millionaires, which is €750,000 in our money.

That is one in 40, or 26,600 people, none of whom we seem to know well enough to ask for a few quid.

What recession, wha etc…
