Someone in Cork woke up €1m richer this morning after the Christmas Millionaire Raffle

They were not the only winners, either.

Someone in Cork is a millionaire on Monday, following the draw for the Christmas Millionaire Raffle from the National Lottery.

The winning ticket had the number 179740 and was sold at the Topaz Service Station on the Lower Tivoli Road in Cork on New Year’s Eve.

There were other prizes too – the runner-up prize of €250,000 goes to the person with the number 435295, sold at American House in Bundoran, County Donegal on the day of the draw on 31 December.

There were four prizes of €100,000, which went to…

Ticket number 412757 – sold in Dunnes Stores, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
Ticket number 403435 – sold in Easons, Church Street, Listowel, Co. Kerry.
Ticket number 27012 – sold in Spar, Curzon House, Abbey Street, Dublin.
Ticket number 326014 – sold in Daybreak, Sillogue Road, Ballymun, Dublin.
