And no, we’re not one bit jealous at all.

Tens of thousands of people throughout the country were no doubt hoping to see tie numbers come up, with the main EuroMillions jackpot worth an estimated €17 million.

And while that prize went without a winner, someone did win the EuroMillions Plus prize.

The numbers drawn were 7, 13, 16, 21 and 22.

According to the National Lottery, the ticket was sold in Dongeal.

The news comes as a lucky family from Leinster have become Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaires after their life-changing win of €6,442,954.

The family scooped their prize in the draw on Wednesday, 10 April with a Quick Pick ticket purchased online.

The husband claimed the prize on behalf of the small family syndicate today [April 26] – and admitted he was still coming to terms with the massive win.

This was the seventh online Lotto jackpot win since the National Lottery launched its online play in 2009 bringing the total online won on jackpots to over €33 million.

In the National Lottery Winners’ Room the lucky winner said: “Even after two weeks, we still can’t believe it. You always buy a ticket knowing that you’ve a chance of winning the jackpot but when it actually happens – it’s just unreal!

“I checked my phone after the draw and I clicked into the ticket and my jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw the €6.4 million prize. It took me nearly twenty minutes to finally open my mouth to tell my wife.”

He added that the family have been “very sensible so far” after winning the prize.
