There had been a $1 million bounty for him as the “new leader of Al-Qaeda”.

It has been reported that Hamza bin Laden, son of Osama bin Laden, has been killed.

NBC have stated that three US officials confirmed his death, but refused to give specific details.

Following suit, when questioned by reporters about it in the Oval Office, President Trump simply said: “I don’t want to comment on it.”

In Febrary 2019, a $1 million bounty had been placed on Hamza bin Laden, given to anyone who might have information on his whereabouts, as it was believed he was “emerging as a leader in the Al-Qaeda franchise”.

However, a report by The New York Times reveals that Hamza bin Laden may have been killed during a US-involved operation as long as two years ago, well before the bounty was announced.

Hamza bin Laden is reported to be around 30 years of age, and is believed to be the 15th of Osama bin Laden’s 20 children.
