Spanish police are investigating reports that an Irish teenager was sexually assaulted while on holiday with her family in Tenerife.
El Dias are reporting that the incident happened last Thursday in the holiday resort of Playa de las Américas, Tenerife.
The female victim is an Irish tourist and the assault is believed to have occurred after she became separated from her family. The teenager was treated at a nearby hospital for her injuries and the perpetrator has been described as a caucasian male.
