
Here’s what supermarkets are open and closed in Ireland today
All Dunnes Stores and Tesco stores remain closed, while Aldi and Lidl are continuing to monitor the weather situation.
Status red and status orange weather warnings remain in place in Ireland until 6pm on Friday, but a number of supermarkets will be open to the public during the day.

Northern Ireland stores - update 10:00 hrs

All Dunnes Stores and Tesco stores in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland will remain closed throughout Friday, but Lidl plan on opening a number of stores in various parts of the country from midday onwards.
All Tesco stores will remain closed today, Friday 2nd March due to the continued difficult weather conditions across the country. We have taken this decision in the interest of the safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers. Stores will re-open tomorrow Saturday, 3rd March

All grocery home shopping deliveries for Saturday, 3rd March have been cancelled due to the difficult driving conditions. We expect to resume home deliveries from Sunday 4th March, subject to weather conditions. #StormEmma

A list of the stores that will be open will be updated on the Lidl Facebook page, but as of midday on Friday, the following stores are open or will be opening at some stage on Friday afternoon.

Aldi Ireland, meanwhile, announced that continue to monitor the ongoing weather situation and will provide an update early on Friday afternoon to inform the public of the stores that will reopen and the stores that will remain closed.

A public safety notice urging people to remain indoors was lifted on Friday morning, but the public have been urged to exercise extreme caution and to take note of local conditions if venturing outdoors.
A status red snow-ice warning remains in effect in all counties in Munster and Leinster, as well as Galway until 6pm on Friday, while a status orange snow-ice warning for seven counties – Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim and Sligo – is also in effect until 6pm.
