Survey reveals Paul O’Connell as the most popular choice for President of Ireland in 2025

After he puts the fear of God into voters on the campaign trail, we assume.

Such is the measure of Paul O’Connell as a man that we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still playing rugby in ten years’ time, but if he’s not, Irish people would like him to be President of our country in 2025.

O’Connell came out on top ahead of other figures such as Bono, Joan Burton and Panti Bliss as the people’s choice of President in a survey by IrishJobs.ie about our perceptions of what life will be like in Ireland in 2025.

Elsewhere, around one in four of those surveyed reckon that a robot will be doing their job ten years from now, while some also think that cars will be self-driving.

In ten years? Did nobody learn any lessons from Back to the Future 2?

Paulie for President though? We’ll take that.
