Survey reveals that two in five young Irish people have unprotected sex on holiday

Sun, sea and... well you can guess what else

Sun, sea and… well you can guess what else.

Lots of Irish people will be travelling abroad during the summer months and among all the sun and sea, there’s always a good chance of some romance.

It seems that Irish people are enjoying more than the good weather and a few drinks when they go abroad though because two in five people have admitted to having unprotected sex while on their travels.

It goes without saying that unprotected romps like this have also led to a rise in sexually transmitted diseases because a fifth of those surveyed have also admitted to contracting a sexually transmitted infection from their overseas fling.

I wonder if the conversation with the doctor went anything like this?

Pharmacy chain Superdrug surveyed the sexual habits of Irish holidaymakers between 18-35 and there were a few more interesting details revealed.

43% of the Irish people surveyed have enjoyed a one-night stand on their travels and 15% have admitted to having 10 sexual encounters with people they met during their time abroad.

Charmers. It’s probably safe to say that these people aren’t exactly interested in the local sights then.
