We always thought Mr Tayto would make a great boss.

Tayto Snacks has been officially named one of the best workplaces in Ireland in 2021.

The renowned crisp producer was recognised at Great Place to Work’s 19th annual Best Workplaces in Ireland awards which took place virtually for the first time.

This is Tayto Snacks’ first year to be named as a top Irish workplace, which was assessed through Great Place to Work’s robust ‘Trust Index’ employee survey, and a thorough ‘Culture Audit’ assessment of its policies and practices.

Tayto Snacks was chosen as one of the Best Large Workplaces in Ireland 2021.

23 workplaces received the title, with others including Fáilte Ireland, Harvey Norman, Tesco Ireland and Woodie’s.

The crisp producer’s award follows the certification of Tayto Snacks as a Great Place to Work in 2020.

Managing Director at Tayto Snacks John O’Connor (pictured) said in a statement: “To receive such recognition during these challenging times is a credit to the brilliant team that we have working in Tayto Snacks.

“It is through open communication, honest feedback, and the engagement of our entire team that we have earned this great achievement.

“I am so proud to be on this journey with our colleagues, to make Tayto Snacks an even greater place to work.”

Tayto Snacks employs almost 400 staff at its 80,000 square foot manufacturing facility, and indirectly supports a large group of industries and jobs across Ireland.

The company’s portfolio of Irish brands includes Tayto, Hunky Dorys, Hula Hoops and KP Nuts.
