A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured following a suspected hit and run collision in Kilcoole in Wicklow in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí at Bray are investigating the road traffic collision, which occurred at approximately 4am on Saturday on Main Street in Kilcoole.
The 17-year-old girl was seriously injured as a result of the collision and has been removed to Beaumont Hospital. The stretch of road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators but has since reopened.
