Met Éireann have forecasted another hot day, continuing Ireland’s recent summery streak…
But unfortunately there’s bad news too. While the heat isn’t poised to go anywhere, we can also expect quite a lot of rain throughout the day.
A tweet from Met Éireann this morning described today’s weather as “rain developing in the west, very gradually turning more widespread.”
It’s also likely to get worse throughout the day, as heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecasted.
So if the sun is shining wherever you are when you wake up, enjoy it while you can… The rain is on its way back.
Rain developing in W, very gradually turning more widespread. The rain will be heavy, locally thundery later. Warm & humid. Highs 18 to 23C.

There’s some relief for hayfever sufferers though, as the pollen count for today is described as moderate (before it shoots back up to high tomorrow).
