Some good news, at last.

Even though there are some strict restrictions in place regarding how far you can venture outdoors, we can all admit that waking up to a bit of sunshine goes a long way.

So Met Éireann reporting that temperatures could rise to 20 degrees by the end of next week is some much-needed good news.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are all expected to see long dry spells and plenty of sunshine, with some cloudy weather at times.

But by Thursday, things are really looking up.

It is expected to be dry and mostly sunny, with highs of 15 to 19 or 20 degrees, highest in the Midlands and west. It’s due to be a little cooler on the east coast with a light to moderate southeast breeze, but we’ll take that.

On Friday, it’s due to be mostly dry and sunny on Friday. Another warm day with highs of 16 to 20 degrees, in light winds.

Like we say, we’ll definitely take it.

So even though we are being urged to stay within a 2km radius of our homes, we can hopefully enjoy some sunny weather while we do so.
