Autumn is most definitely here.
We were spoiled at times by the conditions that arrived during the summer months, but we’ll get a taste of what’s in store in the near future when temperatures drop to as low as four degrees on Tuesday night.
According to Met Éireann, there will be patchy rain with a mix of cloud and clear spells on Tuesday before the mercury drops to between 4-9 degrees on Tuesday night.
The low temperatures will only be temporary, however, as temperatures for Wednesday are forecast to be around 15 – 19 degrees, thanks to moderate west or southwest breezes.
A mostly dry & bright day with a mix of cloud & sunny spells. The cloud will be thickest across the western half of the country & there is the chance of a few light showers here. Elsewhere a lot of dry weather. Top temperatures ranging from 14 to 19°C degrees, warmest in the S&E. pic.twitter.com/D6c4vZt18H

Showery weather is expected throughout the week, with daytime temperatures nearing the seasonal average and nighttime temperatures dropping to colder than we’re used to.
However, it seems that the weekend has our back, with promises of sunny spells and temperatures hitting the early 20s to provide a bit of warmth.
Saturday, according to Met Éireann, will see temperatures “a few degrees milder than in previous days”, with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in mostly light northwest winds.
Sunday will be warmer again with maximum temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in freshening west or southwest winds.
And as for next week, latest indications suggest a warm southwest flow will cover Ireland earlier in the week, with patches of rain early on before mostly dry conditions prevail later in the week.
