At least one person has reportedly been killed in the incident.
Two cars and a lorry have also reportedly been trapped under the wreckage, which occurred in the north of the Minas Gerais capital.
The Argentine national team are currently staying in the city ahead of their World Cup quarter-final against Belgium on Saturday.
