All Tesco, Dunnes Stores and Lidl outlets in Ireland will be closed to customers from Thursday afternoon until Friday afternoon after a red weather warning was extended to the entire country on Wednesday night.
On Thursday, Dunnes Stores revealed that all stores in Ireland and Northern Ireland will be closed on Thursday and will not reopen until 1pm on Friday, subject to the weather having improved by Friday afternoon.
Due to further bad weather overnight all Dunnes Stores in ROI and NI will be closed today Thursday 1st March and will not reopen until 1pm Friday 2 March – this reopening is subject to weather improvement. #StormEmma

Tesco Ireland, meanwhile, have announced that all stores will close at 2pm on Thursday until 1pm on Friday, weather permitting, while Lidl stores will be open until 3pm and will then close until Friday afternoon.
Due to the red snow & ice weather warning for all counties, our stores will close at 2pm today. Weather permitting, stores will open from 1pm on Friday and home deliveries will recommence on Saturday. We’ll keep these hours under review. Stay safe everyone!

On the back of extended Governent advice to stay indoors, which now applies to the whole of ROI, we will extend the previously communicated closures in Leinster & Munster to the rest of the Republic of Ireland. All stores will now be closed from 3pm today until Friday afternoon.

Aldi have also announced that all 130 Irish stores will close at 1pm on Thursday and re-open at 5pm on Friday.
