The CSO has warned Irish people to get a Census form before Sunday, with 20,000 still undelivered

Colm Boohig

April 24 is the day.

The Census is taking place in Ireland on Sunday, April 24 and with every Irish citizen legally required to participate, an estimated 20,000 people still do not have the Census form.

RTÉ has reported the news, with the Central Statistics Office Senior Statistician Deirdre Cullen appearing on Morning Ireland to urge those who have not yet been distributed with forms to contact the Central Statistics Office immediately.

The notice comes after five people were prosecuted for not completing the form during the last Census.
