However a new study done on a bunch of knuckle crackers has shown that the practice has no detrimental effects but actually may increase your mobility range.
The study presented at the at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), looked at what makes the actual cracking sound and they found "no immediate disability in the knuckle crackers".
While further research is called for on the long-term effects, for now it seems you may crack in peace.
