It’s going to get pretty messy out there…

The weather around the country has been pretty miserable in spells over the last few weeks but as someone pointed out to us over the weekend; it is winter time in Ireland so what do we expect. Thank you Captain Obvious.

The situation doesn’t look like it’s going to get any better today as Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rainfall weather warning for parts of the country.

Leinster, Tipperary and Waterford have been highlighted as the areas that will see the worst of it with rainfall possibly greater than 25mm as well as spot flooding expected. The warning is valid for between 6am and midnight tonight so it’ll be pretty wet all day.

Good news if you live in coastal areas though as drier spells with scattered showers are expected there.

For the day that’s in it:
