The UK press outdid themselves with their front pages ahead of the Scottish independence referendum

Today is a day of huge significance for Scotland as its people take to the polls to decide whether or not they want it to become an independent country and right up to the last minute, it appears as if it’s going to be a close call.

The significance of the referendum and its place in the history of Scotland and the United Kingdom has not been lost on the fourth estate across the water, with pretty much every newspaper pulling out all the stops on their front pages this morning.

 

Some of the papers above couldn’t avoid the type of bias unintentionally and unfortunately displayed publicly by Sky’s Kay Burley yesterday and while Kay is no doubt hoping the vote falls on the ‘No’ side, no doubt a few people planning to vote Yes had another look back at this last night…
