The weather’s bad now… but the forecast says it’s about to get way better

Carl Kinsella

It might be pissing down, but things are looking up.

As punishment for our several days of sun, the God that Danny Healy-Rae prays to has now cursed us to walk through the streets in sopping wet clothes, whacking off each other’s brollies and cursing this forsaken hellhole.

That’s right: it’s raining.

And according to Met Éireann, things aren’t set to get any better as the earlier half of week wears on. According to the Met Éireann website, which reports that tomorrow will see “windy with heavy showers or longer spells of rain extending to all areas”.

Wednesday will see scattered showers, which will get heavier on Thursday. Grim.

The good news is that our fortune will change drastically on Friday, which will be “Friday will be mainly dry with sunny spells”, with temperatures reaching 19 degrees.

It gets even better on Saturday, which should be “very warm, humid and mainly dry” with temperatures as high as 24 degrees expected. The good times will continue on to Sunday, which will see temperatures of between 16 and 20 degrees – described by Met Éireann as “a breezy and fresher day with sunny spells”.

Hallelujah.
