Wrap up warm, because there's going to be a huge change in the weather tonight
Better bundle up.

Comfy jumpers to the ready!

While it's been a mostly dry (although slightly cool) Bank Holiday Weekend so far, Met Eireann forecasters have now warned that temperatures are going to take a turn - almost hitting freezing tonight.

Temperatures are set to plummet tonight, hitting between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius in most areas which will lead to a widespread grass frost.

Temperatures will dip close to freezing in some rural areas in the early hours of Monday morning, while isolated mist and fog patches will also develop.

Meanwhile, there’s going to be a cold and bright start to the Bank Holiday Monday, with any mist and fog patches clearing quick.

But while outbreaks of rain and drizzle will hit the Atlantic coastal counties in the afternoon, the rest of the country will have mostly dry weather with the odd patch of drizzle.

Temperatures will climb to between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius with light to moderate southwest breezes.

Monday night will be slightly warmer, generally cloudy and misty with light patches of rain and drizzle.

The lowest temperatures will dip to between 7  and 11 degrees Celsius, with the coldest areas being in the east.

Tuesday (aka: Halloween) will be mostly cloudy with patches of light rain and drizzle, with most of it happening near western and northwestern coasts.

Temperatures will range between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, before a slight dip to 8 and 11 degrees Celsius that night.
