These are the companies who do the most outdoor advertising in Ireland

Ads are all around us.

You might not always notice it, but walk through any city street and you’ll find that you’re permanently besotted with advertisements. On bins, on buses, on billboards – every place you look.

According to the annual Posterwatch report for 2015, put together by PML, Guinness-owner Diageo was the biggest spender on outdoor advertising, followed by McDonald’s. In third place was Eir, who stepped up their advertising efforts after their rebranding from ‘Eircom.’

Other well-known brands completed the top 10, including Sky, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Mars, Vodafone, Virgin Media and owner of Cadbury’s chocolate Mondelez, according to the Irish Times.

So the next time you’re asking yourself if advertising really works, just remember that you’re aware of every single brand in Ireland’s top ten outdoor advertisers.
