13% of all Irish marriages took place in August in 2015, and a quarter of all marriages took place across August and July.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, January is the least popular month for weddings - with only 3.5% of all marriages happening during the first month of the year.
Fridays and Saturdays are the most popular days for weddings, with just under 70% of all marriages taking place on those days. Only 2% of weddings happened on a Sunday, which was the least popular day.
Highly sought after dates were New Years Eve, Saturday 30 May and Friday 7 of August with 247 marriage celebrations on each of these days.
