May God have mercy on us all…
It can be a tough gig being a headline writer.
Sure, sometimes you’ll get hailed widely for some wordplay wizardry but put one word out of place by accident and you can inadvertently create a phrase or a sentence that evokes possibilities far and away from what you had intended with your original choice of words.
Such a situation arose for one headline writer for the BBC website today in relation to a story about the arrests of four men in relation to the discovery of a body in Kent.

We’re sure it was just an innocent mistake by the headline-writer in question, although, as the tweet suggests, it could be heralding a massive breakdown in law and order in the area, with potentially fatal consequences for the lawmakers in Kent.
The locals better be on their guard just in case.
