Three different plants in Cork have been affected.
It is estimated that nearly 5,000 staff have been evacuated in Apple plants in Cork this morning, amid a security threat.
The Defence Forces and Gardaí are at the scene in premises such as Hollyhill (around 4,000 personnel) and Lavitts Quay (an estimated 800).

The threat was allegedly brought to the attention of Gardaí at 8.20am with evacuations and searches commencing from 10am.
