The blackout occurred around 17:30.
A power outage in the Dublin 8 area has left over 10,000 properties in the area without power.
The ESB are aware of the issue and have their technicians currently working on the repairs.
According to their website powercheck.ie, the faults were initially reported at Bedford Row and Newmarket.

A spokesperson for ESB said that they don’t have an estimated time of repair, but it normally takes “approximately three hours after responders arrive onsite.”
Be careful if you’re driving also.
