Three Gardaí arrested as part of corruption investigation released without charge and suspended from duty

All three Gardaí are suspended from duty.

A Garda superintendent and a ranked Garda arrested in connection with an investigation into alleged links between members of the force and a criminal gang have been released without charge on Friday morning.

The two members of the force had their periods of detention extended and were questioned overnight.

A Garda inspector who was also detained as part of the same investigation was released last night.

A file on the case will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

All three Gardaí have been suspended from duty.
