Three people have been killed following a skydiving accident in Australia

It happened near Mission Beach.

Police in Australia have confirmed that three people have died following a skydiving accident.

It’s not known at this point what led to the accident, but the police were alerted when the body of a skydiver was found in the back garden of a home near Mission Beach.

Two other bodies were then found in a nearby tree.

The divers, one of whom is believed to be an instructor, were in their 30s and 40s.

An eyewitness told Cairns News that he saw one skydiver fall to the ground without their parachute released. He said that it wasn’t clear why the parachute hadn’t been released and that a collision could have happened at a higher altitude.

The area is a popular spot for skydivers and this is the worst incident in the history of the area.
