A three-year-old boy has died in a farmyard accident in Wexford

Very sad news.

A three-year-old boy has died following a farmyard accident in Enniscorthy, Wexford.

Gardaí are investigating the incident which occurred at a farmyard at Carrigabruise, Carlerys Bridge around 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.

The boy received serious injuries when he was hit by what is described as a low loader.

He was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigations are ongoing.
