Three-year-old boy found dead in Crumlin

A three-year-old boy has died in Crumlin, Dublin.

According to a Garda statement released on Monday evening, emergency services arrived at the property at around 7 pm and the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found with injuries at the Poddle Park address and taken to St James Hospital where her condition is described as serious.

*Gardaí were made known about the incident when they were called to a house in Poddle Park in Kimmage on Monday evening.

The State Pathologist has been notified, the scene is currently being preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau has been requested to examine the scene.

The apartment blocks at the scene have been sealed-off and detectives from the Crumlin Garda Station are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
