People of Tipperary, check your lotto tickets.

The National Lottery has urgently called on players in Tipperary to check their Lotto tickets as a €70,725 prize from 8 February remains unclaimed.

The winning ticket holder now has less than a week to claim their prize ahead of the deadline on Monday 10 August.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at the Applegreen Service Station on the Dungarvan Road in Clonmel and they were one of two winners of the shared Lotto Match 5 + Bonus prize of €141,450.

Normally, National Lottery players have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize but due to Covid-19, the prize claim deadline was temporarily extended to 181 days.

This change to the National Lottery Licence was approved by the National Lottery Regulator for all those who won prizes from 9 January until 5 July of this year.

The winning Lotto numbers for the draw on 8 February were: 14, 20, 24, 38, 41, 45 and the bonus number was 3.

With just days remaining, the National Lottery has urged all Lotto players from Tipperary to carefully check their old lotto tickets.

Come on, it’s €70,725!

By our calculations, that’s about 23,575 chicken fillet rolls.

Tickets can be checked in shops, or online here.
