Today FM have made some big changes to their weekend line-up

Hector O’Heochagain and Danny O’Reilly, the lead singer of the Coronas, will be part of a new Today FM weekend schedule that comes into effect on the first weekend of July.

Hector, who has been a regular on Today FM in recent years and is currently covering for Ian Dempsey on the weekday breakfast slot, will present a new three-hour show, ‘Hector’s Sunday Sitting Room’ from 4-7pm from August onwards.

O’Reilly, meanwhile, will present an eight-week series entitled ‘A Different Side’ on Sunday afternoons from 4pm. The show will explore and celebrate the role of music in the lives of some of Ireland’s best known figures from the world of sport, cinema, television and radio.

Elsewhere, Alison Curtis’ Saturday Breakfast will also be broadcast on Sunday mornings and journalist and presenter Nadine O’Regan will host her award-winning ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ on Sunday nights on Today FM.

Kelly Anne Byrne will host ‘The Beat Goes On’ on Saturday and Sunday nights, with ‘Ed Smith’s Songs of Praise’ indie music show brought forward to an earlier time of 7pm on Sundays.

Phil Cawley will continue to host his afternoon shows on both Saturday and Sunday, while Neil Delamere’s Sunday Best and The Sunday Business Show complete the station’s weekend line-up.

Sunday morning presenter Declan Meehan will retire from Today FM after 20 years, while Jim O’Neill’s last show will be on Sunday, 26 June.
