May she rest in peace.

Doctor Emer Holohan has died following a long illness. Holohan is survived by her husband and her two children. She died at Our Lady's Hospice in Harold's Cross in Dublin. The Irish Cancer Society released a statement paying tribute to her on Friday evening. It read: "The Irish Cancer Society wishes to extend its sincere condolences to the family of Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan on the sad passing of his wife Emer. The Holohan family are in our thoughts at this sad time." In July of 2020, her husband Tony Holohan took time away from his position as Chief Medical Officer to be with his family. An Taoiseach Micheál Martin has asked for as much privacy and space to be given to the Holohan family as possible. Image via RIP.ie.
