Trevor Deely has been missing since the early hours of 8 December, 2000.
Gardaí have issued a renewed appeal concerning the whereabouts of Trevor Deely on the 19th anniversary of his disappearance.
On 7 December, 2000, a then 22-year-old Deely attended his work Christmas party at the Hilton Hotel in Dublin 2.
Afterwards, he proceeded to Buck Whaley’s nightclub on Leeson Street. Deely subsequently left the premises between 2.30am and 3.25am on the morning of 8 December.
The weather on the night in question was extremely wet and there was a taxi strike in progress.
At 3.35am, Deely called to his place of work at Bank of Ireland in Fitzwilliam Place. CCTV footage of the rear entrance of the premises at this time shows an unknown male conversing with Deely at the back gate.
This male has never been identified.
Trevor Deely was last sighted on CCTV passing the Bank of Ireland ATM on Haddington Road at 4.14am. Approximately 30 seconds later, a male individual was captured on CCTV walking in the same direction as Deely.
Trevor Deely has been described as being 6’1″ and of slim build with short red/brown hair and of fair complexion.
When last sighted, he was wearing a mustard and brown checked shirt, beige/grey corduroy flared trousers, dark deck shoes with white stripes and a green padded jacket. He was carrying a large dark blue umbrella with white ACC Bank lettering.
Gardaí at Pearse Street Garda station have issued a renewed appeal for any information that could assist the investigation into his disappearance.
“Even the smallest piece of information, which may seem insignificant, may assist the investigation,” notes a Garda statement issued on the 19th anniversary of Deely’s disappearance.
