Poet John Montague has passed away in France at the age of 87.
Montague had been recovering from a surgery at Clinique Parc Impérial in Nice when he came down with a fever and had to be put on a respiratory machine.
Montague will be buried in Garvaghy, Co. Tyrone where he was raised. The poet Theo Dorgan will be organising a memorial service in Dublin, according to the
Irish Times.
