Student arrested at Trinity College library for being abusive to other students

The student was removed from the library on three occasions by security before being arrested by Gardaí.

A student was arrested in a library in Trinity College on Wednesday afternoon for being abusive to other students.

In a statement, Gardaí revealed they were called to an incident in a library of a college in Dublin 2 on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4pm.

A male in his 20s was removed from the library three times by security men for being abusive to other students.

The student in question was arrested for public order offences and conveyed to Pearse Street Garda Station.

An investigation is currently ongoing.
