Two massive Trump stories have been reported just as Air Force One took off for Saudi Arabia
If we didn't know any better, we'd almost think this was planned...
Tonight, President Donald Trump began his first foreign trip as the leader of the free world, stopping off at Jeruselum, Vatican City, Brussels and Sicily.
But his very first stop is in the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, with a 12 hour and 30 minute flight time.
Just seconds after wheels up however, both The New York Times and The Washington Post dropped some major bombshells.
First up, the New York Times are reporting that Trump told Russian officials that the reason he fired the now former Head of the FBI James Comey is exactly what everyone had already thought - the Russian investigation.
Trump is alleged to have said "I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. That's taken off.", according to official White House notes on the meeting between the President and Russian officials in the Oval Office on 10 May, one day after Comey was relieved of his position.
Secondly, the Washington Post are reporting that a law enforcement investigation into the alleged possible coordination between Russia and the Trump Presidential campaign have identified a senior White House adviser as a significant person of interest.
This would cement the theory that the collusion between Trump and Russia leading up the Presidential election did in fact reach the highest levels of government in America.
The fact that Trump now can't publicly react to either of these breaking news stories for over half a day - which is almost half a year in modern news cycles - would almost have you believe that both the NYT and the WP knew exactly what they were doing.
