Two men arrested in connection with Kildare murder

Man arrested 39 deaths

Four people have now been arrested in connection with the crime.

Two men have been arrested by Gardaí investigating the death of 34-year-old David Boland during an incident on Duke Street, Athy, Co. Kildare, on the morning after Halloween night.

According to a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, the two men, both aged in their 20s, were arrested yesterday afternoon (9 November) in Athy by Gardaí investigating the case. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Kildare and Newbridge Garda Stations.

The men’s identities have not been made public.

This brings to 4 the number of people arrested to date as part of this ongoing investigation. A 20-year-old man is currently before the Courts and charged in connection with the case.

Another man was arrested and released without charge last week.
