Two men arrested for spate of burglaries while impersonating Gardaí
The two men are being held in Togher Garda Station.
Two men have been arrested following a number of burglaries in Cork city in the early hours of Friday morning, 17 April.
Five houses were burgled between 12.30am and 5am with a sum of cash and property taken from the properties.
The men managed to gain entry into the properties by claiming to be members of An Garda Síochána
The two males, one aged in his 40s and the other in his 20s, are currently being detained at Togher Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
If the public have concerns regarding a person claiming to be from An Garda Síochána, you are urged to contact Gardaí and not let them enter your house until their identity has been confirmed.
