A man has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Clare on Friday (9 September).
The two-vehicle crash occurred on the R463 in Parteen shortly before 10pm.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene, where a man aged in his 20s received fatal injuries.
He was later pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics, and his body was taken to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick.
A second man from the same vehicle, aged in his late teens, was also taken to University Hospital Limerick to receive treatment for serious injuries.
A technical examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators is scheduled to take place Saturday morning. Local diversions remain in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Any road users with video footage, including dash cam is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
