As if opening bras wasn’t enough hassle already…
We’ve all watched enough Disney films by now to know that you can only save the sexy animated Princess with a true love’s kiss, right? Well, it seems that those cra-a-a-a-zy Japanese have now been inspired to invent a bra that, one clearly deluded lingerie company claims, will only unlock when the wearer is similarly truly, madly and deeply in love.
Sound familiar?
According to AFP, the brand new ‘True Love Tester’ – and here comes the science bit – uses sensors and a special gadget linked to a mobile device to analyse the pattern and speed of the user’s heart beat in the heat of the moment.
If the technology determines that the wooed woman’s feelings are for real, the clasp at the front pops open to allowing everybody involved to get jiggy with it, hop on the good foot and do the bad thing.
Because it’s not as if the woman wearing the bra would actually want to choose to remove the bra, right? We men really are muppets sometimes.
You’re going to have to think of buying your lovely lady friend a different gift for Valentine’s Day though, as the bra is not for sale in your local Super Valu. The company responsible for inventing it, Ravijour, claim that it merely forms part of a publicity campaign for the brand’s 10th anniversary, with spokeswoman for the company, Yuka Tamura, saying “we wanted to do something that wouldn’t just appeal to people who wear our products, but also to lift the romantic mood between men and women”.
Check out the promotional video below which, if we’re being truly honest, seems to be waaaaay more inappropriate than romantic, claiming that the supportive stunt is a “revolutionary bra that knows how women truly feel.”
Unbralievable…
