Set faces to scorned

St Patty’s Day St. Patrick’s Day only comes around once a year and it’s a time when people from all over the globe get together to drink manky dyed-green beer while celebrating everything that is Ireland… because it’s OUR day, after all.

However, there is always one Buzzkillington who ruins the fun at a party and this time around that ‘person’ appears to be the US embassy here in Ireland, as they claim “you will be shocked when you see the 5 Ways Americans Invented St. Patrick’s Day!”

Shocked indeed…

So, without further ado, here are the “Five Ways Americans Invented St. Patrick’s Day”.

1. Parades
2. Green sh*t
3. Marching Bands
4. Corned Beef & Cabbage
5. The Keys to the White House

We wonder if they mean “Irish Americans” when they simple say “Americans”? Who knows? Maybe they’re just taking the p*ss? What we do know is that they invented the term “St. Patty’s Day”, lest they forget.
