Video and pics: This bunch of 44 lads were bananas, literally, on a 12 pubs in Dublin at the weekend

We’re not sure exactly what bananas have to do with Christmas but this is a pretty excellent effort nonetheless.

The 12 pubs have become so common these days – too common for a lot of people’s liking, it must be said – that participants really have to up their game if they really want to stand out from the crowd; your bog standard Christmas jumper simply won’t cut the mustard anymore, we’re afraid. Earlier this week, we featured a group of lads from Limerick that went all nativity on the 12 pubs and today, we were sent in a few pictures of a very large bunch of fellas – 44 in fact – who all dressed up as bananas on a 12 pubs in and around Ranelagh at the weekend. There was also a gorilla somewhere in the midst.gorilla somewhere in the midst. One member of the group, David Dunne, also sent us in a video of everyone doing a banana chant to the tune of the Toure brothers chant that has become so popular of late. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwG5K2TTZxI&feature=youtu.be With such a large group, we imagine that they were fairly sandwiched in whatever pubs they visited and we doubt they felt too ripe when they woke up in their pyjamas and tried to come down the stairs the following morning, but it looks like they had one hell of a night.
