Ali happened to be nearby in Los Angeles when he was made aware that a man was threating to jump from the ninth floor of a building.
Rushing to help, the legendary boxer eventually managed to talk the man down.
He was sent to a psychiatric hospital, with Ali promising to pay him a visit later in the week.
